The Joker

The Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker!

The Comic That Explains Where 'Joker' Went Wrong - The Atlantic

Joker is probably one of the most iconic and mysterious villains out there. No one knows where he came from. The most popular theory is that he was once a worker at a chemical plant who quit that job to become a full-time comedian. Struggling to find work, he had trouble providing for his wife and unborn child. After his wife and child died in an accident, Joker gets caught up in a group of thugs plotting to rob the chemical plant that he used to work at. At the heist, Joker poses as the leader of the gang wearing a red hood until Batman interrupts the burglary. Joker tried to escape from Batman until he fell into a vat of chemicals. Joker found himself washed up from the factory's drain pipes and his face completely altered. His skin was chalk white, his hair was dyed green, and his lips were blood red. He had the appearance of a clown. It was then he couldn't help but laugh maniacally. To him, the world is one big joke and only he gets the punchline.

But is this story true? It's hard to say. He has played various aliases and told various past stories to multiple people. It may even be possible that even he doesn't know. But what we do know is that he is one of biggest threats to Gotham City and Batman's greatest rival who instill chaos for thrills!

Greatest Joker Stories Ever Told by DC Comics (Various Authors)/Batman: The Killing Joke by Alan Moore
Batman: The Killing Joke by [Alan Moore, Brian Bolland]

For this psycho clown, I have these crazy titles!

My Friend Dahmer by Derf Backderf (book)-
My Friend DahmerThis graphic novel story is about one of the most notorious serial killers in America, Jeffrey Dahmer. During the late 1970s to early 90s, Dahmer killed approximately 17 people. He was also known for doing rather inappropriate actions with the bodies from mutilation to cannibalism. The author of this graphic novel actually knew Dahmer. They went to high school together. This story is told through the author's perspective about who Dahmer was in high school and his struggles. Dahmer was a loner that everyone thought was odd. His parents were divorced. He got addicted to alcohol. He was gay (who were closeted during that time because it was much more socially unacceptable back then) and had an odd hobby of mutilating animal corpses. Dahmer was a truly disturbed individual and the author was shocked to see him as a crazed serial killer. Could all of this have been avoided?

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscaloco (book/e-book/e-audio) -

To this day, Jack the Ripper has never caught and his identity remains a mystery. He just simply disappeared after his killing spree. Will the truth ever be set free?
